This group is focused on the goal of implementing a dual language immersion program (English/Spanish) in Austin public schools. A DL (or two-way) immersion program would offer strong, empowering dual language education, for all kids. It would open bilingual education to English native speakers, native bilingual students and improve bilingual education for language minority children. The resulting educational setting would be naturally diverse with high standards for developmentally appropriate education for all children equitably.
